“I sent my mare Ella to Eleanor Biggs for reschooling. I was having lessons from her dad, John Biggs and I was really struggling to get a comfortable and balanced canter from Ella.

I decided to take the opportunity to send her to Eleanor. And what a difference it has made! Ella has gone from cantering alpaca style to dressage diva/show cob. I’m absolutely over the moon with the results. I never thought I’d get this good of a canter out of my cob. From panicked, fast, and no bend to Balanced, supple and controlled!

The Biggs family are very friendly, professional, kind and know there stuff! I have adapted to my ‘new’ horse by riding in a totally different way which has helped myself and my horse. I’m forever grateful to the Biggs! Ella had a rough start, 10 owners by the time she was 6. I bought her as a 7 yr old and she’s now just turning 10. So many gave up on her but I was not!

I would get so frustrated trying to get the canter.. then realised never be afraid of a bit of help. There is more to progress on but I wouldn’t of gotten to this stage without the help of Eleanor, John and Gail. Thank you so much! Cant wait for the season ahead!”

“I bought my 14 year old daughter a new Eventing pony 18 months ago. Once home I realized he was a lot more horse than I expected and although he had plenty of scope and was brave cross country, his flatwork was a disaster and he was determined to do everything as fast as possible!

Under John’s watchful eye, I started having weekly flatwork lessons and we patiently started training the pony to use himself properly. This meant going right back to basics. My daughter was really struggling to keep the pony under control when jumping, so John started giving her weekly jumping lessons, which made a huge difference to their way of going and taught the pony to really bascule over the fence in a controlled fashion and as a result they started having more clear rounds.

My daughter had her first season British Eventing last year. She ended the season coming 3rd at Llanymynech in the BE90 class, qualifying for the regional finals this year. She also had a great win at Kelsall arena Eventing in the BE90 class, beating over 60 competitors.

With John’s help we have really managed to turn the pony around. He is a fantastic horseman, who tells it as it is and excels not only in his tuition of dressage, but in show jumping and cross country training as well. I can’t recommend him enough.”
